Winter Skills Challenge

While we take a short break from practices over the holidays we sill want you to challenge yourselves to touch the ball. For those players that complete the challenge there are prizes we will accept more than one for those eager to do more. At 10m each this almost a 4h challenge.

Challenge yourself and be rewarded, we are looking for each player to do some individual foot skills as we move into the indoor season ball control will be the ongoing theme.
Recommended footskills, are the same many of our girls have already. Our goal is to continue to hone our ability to find and control the ball at our feet while looking up!
The recommendations below are friendly for indoor practice, but this is your chance to be creative and hone the skills you already have. Try to practice each of your ball control foundations below for 30 seconds at a time, this will prepare you to compete in the winter challenges when practice resumes and we crown our winners.
Ball Control Foundations
- Toe Taps
- Tick-tocks
- Pull backs
- Lateral sole-rolls
- Scissors - practice moving feet fast in semi-circles around a stationary ball
Advanced for improving foot speed
For additional skill work and to mix it up, adding in some of these activities to increase the variety.
